Alessandro obtained his bachelor degree in General Physics back in 2011 at University of Pisa (Italy). In 2011, He moved to Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) at the faculty of Nanotechnology Engineering for ICT systems, where he graduated in 2014.

Meanwhile (2012), he has been researcher fellow at Boston University (Massachusset, USA) in the Electrical & Computing Engineering department for 8 months.

Starting from May 2015 he is a PhD Candidate at TU Delft in the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer science in the department of Electrical Sustainable Energy, for R&D of Artificial Muscles/Micro Actuator using Electroactive Polymers.

He is currently working on breakdown mechanisms, lifetime characterization and improvement of soft dielectric polymers used for fabrication of electroactive polymer actuators.
